Auto Injury Treatment

Concerned driver with defocused traffic accident

Motor vehicle collisions can cause injuries involving the muscles, joints, ligaments, discs, nerves, and other tissues of the neck, back, shoulders, and extremities. Symptoms may include neck pain, back pain, headaches, stiffness, restricted movement, muscle soreness, numbness, tingling, or other musculoskeletal complaints.

Evaluation begins with a history and physical examination to help identify the likely source of symptoms and determine whether conservative treatment is appropriate. Depending on the findings, treatment may include chiropractic manipulation or mobilization, lower-force techniques, soft tissue treatment, massage therapy, exercise, and activity recommendations. Digital X-rays or referral for additional imaging may be appropriate when clinically indicated.

Auto Injury Care and Recovery

Recovery after a motor vehicle collision varies depending on the type and severity of injury. Treatment should be adjusted according to changes in pain, movement, function, activity tolerance, and other examination findings rather than following a predetermined number of visits.

When additional care is needed, we can coordinate physical therapy, advanced imaging, physiatry, pain management, orthopedic or neurologic evaluation, injections, or surgical consultation. Our office also regularly works with Personal Injury Protection (PIP) coverage and third-party automobile insurance claims.
