Chiropractic care and what it can do for you.
Happy New Year! What can chiropractic care do for you in 2012?
Chiropractic care can help with your headaches. A majority of headaches are due to the joints and muscles in the neck not working properly. Chiropractors are trained to evaluate the way these joints and muscles work and then make adjustments to restore function to them. When the joints in the cervical spine are working properly you are less likely to have headaches.
Chiropractic care can help with low back pain. Low back pain can be caused from dysfunction in the joints, disc or muscles of the low back (lumbar spine). Again chiropractors are trained to evaluate the spine to determine if your pain is originating from one of these structures. This is done through a consultation with you, a history with specific questions and then an exam. X-rays may also be taken and sometimes MRI’s are needed. If your pain is coming from the joints, disc or muscles, chiropractic care may help.
Chiropractic care can help with your energy. This one may seem very odd to you. But after being in practice since 1993 I have heard thousands of people tell me that after a few chiropractic adjustments they have more energy. There are multiple reasons for this. One is that after a chiropractic adjustment your joints will function better and move with less resistance, you will therefore have to use less energy to move these joints and you will have more energy. Another is if you are being adjusted in the mid back (thoracic spine) you will also be receiving treatment to the ribs. Once the ribs are moving properly you will be able to take in deeper breaths and therefore bring in more oxygen in turn giving you more energy. One other reason is that after having chiropractic care you will most likely have less pain. Pain causes fatigue, get rid of the pain and you will have less fatigue and more energy.
