Did you and your car happen to get bumped by someone this past week in all the snow?  Did you wake up the next day with a headache and some neck pain and wonder why?  The problem in the neck may be due to that 3000 lbs vehicle that bumped into you. Many people think that if there is no damage to their car there was no damage to their body.

The symptoms of a whiplash are: neck pain, headaches, upper back pain, shoulder pain and pain going into the arm.  For many people there may be low back pain also.  Some symptoms are immediate and some are delayed.  The delay in symptoms is due to the inflammation process taking between 48 and 72 hours to take effect.  Sometimes I will even see patients finding new symptoms three weeks after a collision.
