If you have Googled searched for whiplash in Everett wa, you most likely are looking for some help due to your neck pain, upper back pain and headaches.  You may be looking for a back doctor to help your whiplash or for some information on how to help yourself.

I have been a Chiropractor treating whiplash for 24 years.  About one time a week I will have a new patient who comes in and blames the neck pain they are in on an accident that occurred 3 or 4 years ago.  Invariably as we talk I find out that they did not start any formal treatment (chiropractic, PT or massage - not medication) for about three weeks after the whiplash accident.  The few week  period after the collision is the most important time for your healing.  This is when you want to be doing the right type of exercises, stretches, ice therapy (not heat) and chiropractic adjustments to the spine.  Without this type of care your muscles surrounding the spine will shorten up, begin to develop scar tissue and develop you may chronic pain.  Also the joints of the spine that were injured in the whiplash type trauma will also lose motion and start to develop degenerative disc disease and degenerative joint disease. (This is a form of arthritis of the spine.)

Symptoms for a whiplash can include, neck pain, upper back pain, headaches, shoulder pain, low back pain, fatigue, poor sleep and tingling in the arms, to name a few.  If you have any of these after a whiplash accident chiropractic care can help you.

So if you are looking for help due to a recent or even an old whiplash please give us a call.  It would be an honor to sit and discuss different treatment options you have.  Most people want to rest and not move after a whiplash.  Unless you have a lot of pain extending into your arms or legs, the more you move the better you will feel.  So keep moving.

Our office offers in house X-rays, massage therapy and multiple forms of traction.  Including spinal decompression if there is a disc injury from the whiplash.
